A doula is a trained professional who provides continuous emotional, physical, and informational support during pregnancy, labor, and the immediate postpartum period.
A doula’s role is to focus entirely on supporting you — helping you feel calm, informed, and confident throughout your birth experience.
Doulas can assist with comfort measures, labor positions, breathing techniques, encouragement, and helping you and your partner understand your options along the way.
Research has shown that having a doula present can lead to shorter labors, fewer interventions, and a more positive birth experience overall.
But beyond the research, many families simply appreciate having a steady, supportive presence who is there for them every step of the way.
